This auto shop is unbelievable! We took our car there for a broken serpentine belt and and idler pulley and they quoted us $1250 which was absolutely ridiculous. We took the car to a different shop and they fixed it in under 2 hours for $600. We’re downtown Naperville residents and it’s very unfortunate that this local neighborhood shop is a complete rip off that takes advantage of people. We will never take our cars there or recommend them to anyone! Absolutely Despicable!

Hi Monica, can you please contact me so I can address this situation more in depth. ([email protected] or 630-420-2886) - Our diagnosis was: The serpentine belt is broken. Tensioner pulley is loose. One ribbed idler pulley is loose. Smooth idler pulley is locked up. We recommend replacing the belt, tensioner assembly and all 3 idler pulleys. We understand price is a huge factor when repairing a vehicle but we would be doing a disservice to you if we did not let you know about the other pulleys that are loose. One locked up so who knows how close the other ones are to doing the same. We are always happy to discus other options if doing the full repair is not possible or wanted.

I don’t normally write reviews, but after my experience at naper-auto works I needed to. Keep in mind, I have not repaired my car there, so I don’t know how professional they are in that aspect. I was talking to the guy behind the desk and he seemed to have an attitude problem, he insulted me to my face and I later learned he was rude to my friend as well. So based on that I will never be stepping foot there again.

After interviewing several staff members no one can recall any sort of insult. As you can see our other reviews say quite the opposite. As far as a attitude problem I understand there was some frustration since we could not give you a estimate on your truck without knowing what part it needs. I apologize that it came across as rude, that was not our intention and I do not take that lightly.
