Naper Auto Works
This is the only place that has ever validated my concerns about conflicting information I've been told about cars, and it really built my trust in them. They helped me understand both opinions and procedures and encouraged me to make the choice that worked best for us without pressure. I did not get talked over or dismissed, and despite how busy they are, they took time to hear me. It seems difficult to find people like this. And I received that treatment from several different workers which suggests a customer friendly work atmosphere. They get four stars because of how expensive it was. But in reality, I did not compare prices to know if they are average or high. It's difficult to pay for a diagnosis that produces no problems to be fixed, so this is more of a reflection of my attitude and not necessarily their service or work. I will be keeping them as my go-to car shop.
Thank you for seeing the value of how we operate. We have 44 years of trying to perfect the automotive repair experience. We understand that because of how much work we put into training and technology to do the best quality and honest repairs that we may not always be the cheapest guys in town. We should not be most expensive either though. It's getting more common that we look into issues that something isn't exactly broken/ not broken anymore. We don't recommend replacing any parts until we can 100% verify that part has failed. This has saved our customers a lot and in some cases like yours it results in paying for some tests to be done but finding no parts that need replacing at that time. (I'm assuming your check engine light is still off, if not please contact me). From what you said in your review it does sound like you see the value in that. We really appreciate the honest feed back and look forward to working with you in the future!
